ROOTED IN PLACE, POWERED BY LOCALS
Gorge Owned is a member-supported 501(c)(3) community-building organization working toward resilient, thriving communities in the Columbia Gorge. Through community conversations, powerful lectures, and a passion for lifting up locals, we help people deepen their connections to place and each other.
Sense of Place Lecture Series
Now entering its 10th season, the annual Sense of Place lecture series connects people through place and storytelling. Sense of Place features presenters from throughout the Pacific Northwest who share new insights into the cultural, natural, or political history of the Columbia River Gorge. All lectures are held at the Columbia Center for the Arts.
Power of Local, Sustainable Choices
We promote local, sustainable businesses throughout the Columbia Gorge and raise awareness about the importance and impact of making intentional consumer choices. Search our local business directory to learn more about the ways these locally owned businesses give back.
